Global companies such as Network Rail, Santander, Mercedes-Benz, and Red Bull Racing have chosen to base their UK operations here, drawn by excellent transport links, a skilled workforce, and an entrepreneurial spirit.
The city’s proximity to London, Birmingham, Oxford, and Cambridge makes it perfectly placed for commuters and professionals alike — while local businesses continue to thrive in the city’s strong economy.
Education and innovation
Milton Keynes takes education seriously. From outstanding local schools and sixth form colleges to the world-renowned Open University and MK College, there are learning opportunities for all ages and ambitions. The city is also home to Cranfield University, a leading postgraduate and research centre known for its strong links to industry and innovation.
This focus on education and development ensures that Milton Keynes continues to attract ambitious families and young professionals — making it an ideal location for property investment.

In and around Milton Keynes
Milton Keynes is a hub for year-round fun. With the UK’s most extensive Redway cycling network, you can explore for miles on safe, traffic-free routes that weave through parks, lakes, woodland and residential areas.
It’s also home to one of the country’s few indoor real-snow ski slopes at Xscape, meaning you can learn to ski or snowboard at any time of the year, without leaving town! Xscape also brings indoor skydiving, rock climbing, bowling and a multi-screen cinema under one roof.
Outdoorsy families are spoilt for choice too. Willen Lake offers paddleboarding, wakeboarding, open-water swimming and calmer boat activities, surrounded by playgrounds, outdoor gym and parkland. Nearby Gulliver’s Land remains a favourite for younger families. And when you want a full day out, Centre Parcs Woburn Forest and Woburn Safari Park are only a short drive away.
On the tech front, Milton Keynes was the first place in the UK to introduce delivery robots and is home to live trials of autonomous transport – a glimpse of the future woven into everyday life.
Although Milton Keynes is known as a modern, forward-thinking city, it also carries a remarkable history. Just south of the city sits Bletchley Park, where World War II codebreakers helped shorten the war by cracking encrypted communications. This achievement laid foundations for modern computing and cybersecurity.
Milton Keynes is also home to the world’s first wide cast-iron canal trough aqueduct at Cosgrove, known as the Iron Trunk Aquaduct. It carries the Grand Union Canal above the River Great Ouse and dates back to 1811.
And as if all that isn’t enough, Universal Studios has set its sights on building their biggest theme park in Europe right on our doorstep.
Milton Keynes may be young at just under 60 years old, but it’s full of surprises and hidden gems. We couldn’t imagine a better place to call home!
